Spammers are always inventing
new ways to get around filters. These settings work good but they won't
In the folder list on the left
side of Outlook Express Window, right-click the LOCAL FOLDERS icon and
choose NEW FOLDER.
In the FOLDER NAME box, type the name "SPAM"
and click "OK".
Now create a filter to apply against your
email that will move SPAM to the Spam Folder.
The goal is to create a filter to look for
typical Spam words and phrases and move these messages to the Spam Folder.
Click on Tools, choose Message Rules then
Click on NEW
This is the window where you create specific rules that the filter will
use. Check SUBJECT LINE:
Check MOVE TO SPECIFIED FOLDER
Click on CONTAINS SPECIFIC WORDS link
Enter words or phrases that you want the filter to find: Viagra, Loan,
sex, date, free... You get the idea
Click on the MOVE TO SPECIFIED FOLDER link
Choose the SPAM FOLDER you created earlier - Click OK
Enter a name for the rule you created and click OK
Click On APPLY NOW
Click On the APPLY NOW button (again)
Click OK on the next window and you're done!
